This is how the fiber comes off of the drum carder. This is called a fiber batt. These batts are 10 inches wide by 22 inches long and can be 1 inches to 3 inches thick. Batts are great for felting projects or batts can be rolled up
into rovings or clouds or a bump ( which is rolled up carded fleece on a cardboard roller with a center pull ).
