Questions and Answers:

Q: How many animals can you process?
A: We can process anywhere from 1 to 100 animals.

Q: How long is your turn around?
A: All orders are taken and processed in an orderly fashion.  Processing time varies between the processing that is taking place.  1 - 40 animals are processed rather quickly where more than 40 can take between 3 to 4 months and longer. 

Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Yes we do over discounts for 20 + animals or more.

Q: Do you process suri fleece?
A: Yes we do process suri fleece for extra charge.

Q: Do you wash fleece and if you do is there a charge:
A: Yes we do wash fleece. If yarn is to be processed then I prefer to spin in the dirt.
Alpaca is slippery after washed and is much easier to spin if not washed.  Yarn has to be washed before completed.  Most of the time depends on the fleece coming in.

Q: Have you turned away fleece?
A: Yes we have, if your fleece is straw feeling, or alot of guard hairs, lice, heavy vegetable matter ( VM ) or soiled with fecal matter, or moldy. This fleece is disguarded and returned to customer.

Q: If a customer is out of state and uses your mill for processing do you charge for sending our finished order back.
A: Yes, there is shipping charges. We use the best and least expensive carrier. 

Q: Do you accept credit card payments or what other forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept credit card payments via paypal.  Checks are accepted if local and surrounding areas of Florida.

Q: Are there any hidden charges?
A: No there is no hidden charges, what you see on our order form is the complete price
unless where discounts apply. Those are given when order is received. 

Q: Why are your prices so low?
A: Reason for the low prices is simple, Economy is really bad right now, plus we have no electrical equipment and we do not have to pay overhead. 

Q: How do you figure in the price to charge for processing?
A: Processing charge is based on Incoming weight only. 

Q: Do you blend fleeces together, example all whites or all fawns etc?
A:  We only blend fleece together if the customer requires us to do so. Otherwise we
do not blend your fleece with any other customer. We process only your animals at a time. What you get back is from your own animals.

Q: Do you charge extra for variegated yarns?
A: No we do not charge extra for blending yarns together, only time we would charge extra if we were to blend other animal fleeces, mohair, merino, silk, angora etc.

Q: Do you charge for labels?
A: We do charge extra for designing labels. We used to design and print the labels for
Free, with the rising cost of ink and paper. We can no longer print labels for our customers.  If you choose to have a label designed then its a one time charge of $ 25.00
per farm. Labels are sent to you in a PDF form with instructions on how to apply the label.

Q: Do you have references?
A: Yes we do and you can contact each one of them anytime.

Q: Do you have samples of your work?
A: Yes we do, and we can send those out to you anytime.

Q: What type ply do you do and what type of yarn do you spin?
A: We do 2 ply mostly, we can do more than that. Again its based on what the customer
is wanting us to do.  The yarn that we spin is mostly a Worsted weight or Sport Weight yarn.  

Q: What does handspun look like?
A: Handspun yarn is actually being more prefered by folks.  Handspun yarn isn't perfect
at all.  Machine spun is perfect and there isn't any flaws.  VIEW PICTURE BELOW TO VIEW MY HANDSPUN YARN.

Q: How much can we sell carded batts or yarn for?
A: Well this is a tricky question, it really is going to depend on your area.  In Florida
Carded batts are selling for $ 15.00 each and 130 yard skein balls or braided are selling for $ 22.00 a ball.

Q: When we get our processed fleece returned, do you give instructions with our orders.
A: Yes any fleece that can't be processed due to guard hairs, VM or just won't spin well. We give all that back to you in a labeled bag with the animal that it came off of. Plus instructions on what
you can do with that. 

Q: Why don't you have electrical equipment?
A: Reason for this is simple, we give alot of homeschool, church, preschool and school tours. We
want folks to appreciate how things were done back in the day.  Plus we like to show the process
we have the alpacas, we show start to finish. Electrical equipment is a wonderful and quick way for processing to be done.  We are a small mill and we don't need large equipment at this point.
We like giving personal attention to each product. We can tell you everything about your fleece.
Machines can't do that. If you want to know how did it spin or card. We can tell you.

Q: What other services do you provide?
A: Well for fleece we do kettle dyeing, handpainting for a charge.  We also design logos and websties.  We also make garments out of your yarn.  We do offer felting projects as well.

Q: Do you offer a discount for previous customers who used you for processing?
A: Yes we do, discounts will be given when order is received for other services.

Q: What size yards do you spin?
A: We are doing 130 yards each skein.

Q: Do you give instructions on what you can make with the yarn skeins or balls of yarn?
A: Yes we tell you exactly what you can make with each yarn skein or ball and how many.

Q: Do you provide yarn on a cardboard cone?
A: At this time we don't offer this. We will in the future.
